MARATABA LODGE, LIMPOPO, SOUTH AFRICA
Marataba Safari Lodge is set at the foot of the Waterberg mountains within 23,000 hectares of private park 3 hours drive from Johanesberg. This luxury lodge seamlessly blends contemporary design with natural materials in an area that abounds with wildlife. The open-plan and luxurious suites allow the sights, sounds and smells of the magnificent Marakele National Park to flood in. Each exquisitely decorated canvas tented suite has its own free standing bath tub, indoor and outdoor shower and viewing deck from which you can survey the mountains, plains and the meandering river below.
Marataba has a fleet of new, specially adapted Toyota Land Cruisers for our exclusive use during Capture Earth. Each vehicle has 3 rows of raised seats behind the driver, and each Capture Earth client will have one row of seats entirely to themselves. Gimball head mounts are fitted and bean bags are supplied for each client.
Marataba is situated in a region of South Africa which the malaria carrying mosquito (Anopheles) does not inhabit, and the reserve and region is therefore classed as a malaria-free region
